Former 106 & Park host turned E! News anchor Terrence Jenkins has once again decided to part ways from his current role as co-host with the network to pursue other endeavors like acting roles and film production.

Jenkins, who has been hosting on national television for over ten years according to his statement released to E! News, announced his departure from the network on Tuesday Dec. 15. He stated that after three years with E!, he will be leaving the network to pursue more acting roles and take on projects as a producer. Jenkins joined the network back in 2012 where he first hosted with Giuliana Rancic and was later paired with Maria Menounos.

Prior to taking on the role alongside Rancic, Jenkins was a co-host for the former BET music/entertainment show 106 & Park, where he went by the name Terrance J, and co-hosted alongside Rocsi (Diaz). The two hosted the popular music show for seven years, according to BET. They both went on to pursue other roles in entertainment reporting. Diaz went on to work as a co-host and daily correspondent with Entertainment Tonight, while Jenkins landed on his feet with E!.

Although Jenkins describes his departure as bittersweet, he does believe that he will yet again land on his feet and fall into more acting roles that will bring him much success, just as he did with his role in the Steve Harvey film, Act Like A Lady Think Like A Man.  He will also continue working in film production, making films like his latest project, The Perfect Match, that he completed over the Summer.

"I took some time off this summer and I produced and I starred in my first feature film, and I'm really excited about it and it's coming out at the top of the year," said Jenkins about his future endeavors. "It's called The Perfect Match. I knew I would have to leave to go on a promo run for that...I've had a lot of opportunities come in in the acting space, both behind the camera and in front of the camera. And so, with all of that said, I wanted to announce today that I'll be leaving E! News."
