The anticipated new album Quiet Storm from the hit 90s R&B group Silk is finally here and availabe for download and purchase.
The group that brought R&B lovers the hit single "Meeting in My Bedroom" is back with their latest album after at a ten-year hiatus. According to Centric, the group has released the Quiet Storm album with all five orginal group members.
Tim Cameron, Jimmy Gates, Gary "Big G" Glenn, Jonathen "John John" Rasboro and Gary "Lil G" Jenkins have come together yet again to release their follow up album to their 2006 release, Always and Forever, on the Shanachie Entertainment music label.
The first single off the album, "Love 4 U 2 Like Me," is reminiscent of the sound fans remember of the group when they delivered singles like "Freak Me" and "We're Calling You." The group released a message to their followers expressing their excitement of their new project and what Silk fans can expect from the new album.
"We are excited to bring music that's good for the body and the soul," wrote the group members according to Centric. "We are fortunate to be the same five guys that started this journey together with our debut album Lose Control. Now we welcome you into the Quiet Storm. Music that feels like classic Silk. This music feels like it was worth the wait!!!"

The group has offered their fans a chance to win their very own personal autographed copy of the album by simply showing their support of it and hashtagging the word #quietstorm on their page. Since the album's official release date on March 18, it has seen growing success on the itunes charts and currently sits at the No. 5 position according to the @silkfans Instagram account.
