Chance the Rapper stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, and premiered a brand new song during his performance. Titled "Blessings," this inspirational hip-hop track mixes gospel, rap and more. This is a brand new taste of his upcoming mixtape, Chance 3, which is due for release on May 13, 2016. Watch this performance now.

The Chicago artist was accompanied by a trumpet player, a backup singer and a choir for this new track.

Jamila Woods provided the main backing melody while Byron Cage presented a powerful sermon. "Blessings" is clearly a stand-out track of 2016, but we're excited for much more from Chance.

Chance detailed his new music in a recent interview with HOT 97.

"I'm working on a lot of music, a lot of individual projects right now, but my focus is eventually getting out of this trilogy of music that would be 10 Day, Acid Rap and Third Mixtape, and eventually get to a place where I can stand on top of something and be like 'this is what I do!" he said, according to Genius. "I'm not just rapping or rap, this is what I do.' [...] Here's all the different pieces to it, it's a project just like any other project but this one is... defining."
