In one of the bigger R&B producer, artist collaborations of the year Cashmere Cat has teamed up with The Weeknd and Francis and the Lights to release the new single "Wild Love." The song is the first official single to appear off of Cashmere Cat's upcoming artist album with the same name.

The song starts out with the distorted vocals of Francis and the Lights, much like you might here on a Kanye West record that Cashmere Cat could contribute to. Then The Weeknd's falsetto comes piercing through the mix as sporadic, pitched up keys from Cashmere Cat become heard. Light synths gently enter the song as it smoothly ebbs and flows to its finish three and a half minutes later.

This is not a song with big, catchy hooks or danceable moments, but rather one long drawn out feeling of longing. It matches the temperament of Cashmere Cat that The Weeknd and Francis and the Lights can match.

If you are thinking of taking it slow or keeping it sexy tonight, "Wild Love" should be at the top of the list for musical selections.

Cashmere Cat over the past few years has become a go-to producer for many hip-hop and pop artists. He has produced records for the likes of Charli XCX, Kanye West, The Weeknd, Miguel, Tory Lanez, Tinashe and more.

Cashmere Cat's debut album is set to release on Benny Blanco's Mad Love imprint on Interscope Records. No release date has been set, nor has the producer revealed a complete tracklist yet. However it is safe to assume given his past that there will be a strong set of collaborators on there.
