Desiigner, real name Sidney Royel Selby, has been cleared of felony charges stemming from an incident that took place on Thursday evening (Sept. 8) in Manhattan. He will still face three misdemeanor drug and menacing charges.

Desiigner was in a car with three friends and a driver on Thursday night when they allegedly got into a confrontation the passengers of another car. The driver of the other car says Desiigner waved a gun at them before the rapper and his crew drove off in a Cadillac Escalade.

The driver called the police who shortly thereafter searched the vehicle. They found oxytocin and anabolic steroids in the vehicle and took the five into custody.

However no gun was found and at his hearing, Desiigner's attorney made that very clear.

"There's nothing here. There's nothing recovered," said Selby's attorney, Adam Konta according to the New York Daily News. "There really is nothing here."

Desiigner was released on Saturday without bail.

The investigation later determined that the drugs belonged to the driver, Scott Siegel, 42, who is being held on a $5,000 bond for criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as forgery for carrying two falsified active-duty firefighter plaques.

Desiigner and his three associates were also in possession of marijuana, thus they were charged with misdemeanor possession.

He was in the car with his three associates - Utril Rhaburn, C.J. McCoy and the rapper's hypeman Michael Davis.

The New York assistant district attorney said at the hearing on Saturday, Sept. 10, that more charges could come if evidence regarding the ownership of the drugs in the car emerges.
