Kid Rock sent out a special message to San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick during his recent concert at Boston's Fenway Park. While performing his "Born Free" hit, the rapper yelled out "F*ck Colin Kaepernick."

Kid Rock made the statement while he and his band performed in front of a huge American flag. As the rapper was going through the 2010 hit from the album Born Free, he paused for a while to deliver his message to Kaepernick.

Although the singer did not go into detail regarding his statement against the quarterback, it's most likely a response to the controversy that the NFL athlete has caused. Kaepernick recently gained the attention of the public due to his protests which began in August during a preseason match between the 49ers and the Green Bay Packers, according to Bleacher Report.

Before the match kicked off, the national anthem was played. As everyone stood up for the anthem, Kaepernick remained seated on his team's bench. During a press conference after the game, the athlete explained that he refused to stand up for the national anthem and honor the flag to protest against the violent acts targeting African Americans and other minorities in the country.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," he said in a statement. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."
