RZA is defending Kanye West for meeting with Donald Trump, although he vocally supported Hillary Clinton during the election.

“Trump is the president, you know what I mean? We’re gonna have to talk with him, deal with him, build with him,” the rapper said to TMZ. “If Kanye willing to speak for our community, bong, bong.”

He also noted that he has not spoken to West in a long time.

RZA wasn't the only artist who spoke about Kanye's meeting with the President-elect.

According to Billboard, John Legend recently voiced his disappointment in The Life of Pablo rapper in an interview with Clique. Legend said about the meeting, “I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to him about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt and I think Kanye was a publicity stunt. And I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye, that he says he would have voted for Trump.”

During the meeting, Trump reportedly gave West an autographed Time magazine that said “To Kanye, you are a great friend.”

The meeting occurred this past Tuesday (Dec. 13) at Trump Tower in New York City. A representative for the Donald, Hope Hicks, confirmed that West requested the meeting.

Following the meeting, C-SPAN footage appeared of West entering the building and only saying “hey” to the reporters bombarding him with questions. The two also posed for photos.

West took to Twitter following his visit to explain the meeting, saying, “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues.” He further said, “I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”
