Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings have released a touching claymation video for their rendition of "Please Come Home for Christmas" from the holiday album It's A Holiday Soul Party.

The video follows an old man in a snowy town who is sending a love letter to his wife off in a different place. He walks around his small town seeing other people in love and feels heartbroken for his wife. Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings pop up in various spots around town as the old man makes his journey to the mail box and back home.

When he makes it back home he is met with a heart-warming surprise.

The video comes almost exactly one month after Sharon Jones died at the age of 60 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She died on Nov. 18. This past week, fans, friends and family gathered in August, GA and Brooklyn to pay their respects to Jones.

The video was originally supposed to released before her death, but being shared now, it feels even more powerful.

Daptone Records co-owner and bandleader Gabriel Roth wrote in a note recently, "Our friend Sharon has always been at the heart of Daptone and always will be. I am so grateful to her and to all of you for putting your hearts into all of this in so many ways."

"Please Come Home For Christmas" is lifted from the group's holiday album released in October last year, which features covers and reworks of classic holiday songs. To keep Sharon Jones in your hearts and ears this holiday season, pick up a copy of the LP here or stream it here.

Sharon Jones' documentary Miss Sharon Jones! will become available worldwide on Netflix on Jan. 7.
