It's a scary, dangerous world out there, and Reba McEntire wants you to "Pray For Peace." Today (July 21), the country music superstar released a new single on her official Facebook page and is offering up a simple request: "Pray For Peace."

According to a statement on her Facebook page, the inspiration for "Pray For Peace" came over a year ago from a walk in Gallatin, Tennessee. "For days I'd sing, "Pray for Peace", over and over," McEntire wrote before putting the full pieces of the track together. And though the lyrical endeavor was a simple one, the music itself took time to build. "I have never worked on a song as long as this one. It went from a bass drum, fiddle and singers to guest artist singing with me, adding more instruments and even a choir and a bagpipe," said McEntire.

One of those guest artists? McEntire's daughter-in-law and former American Idol Kelly Clarkson. The new mama announced her involvement on the track on her Twitter page.

The result is a march for "perseverance, prayer, hope, fellowship and mostly love," sent to empower those who feel hopeless to action. Talk about an intense undertaking! The accompanying music video, posted to McEntire's Facebook, features the singer herself in a candlelit recording studio, making the track come to life. Between shots of McEntire herself, black and white shots of different sorts of people all across the world making motions to "Pray For Peace" are shown.
