Mariah Carey is reportedly being sued by her former manager, Stella Bulochnikov Stolper, who claims that the singer failed to pay her a hefty sum of money, among many other things.

Stolper has reportedly filed legal documents stating that a lawsuit will soon be submitted against the former American Idol judge. In the filing, Stolper alleged that Carey violated the U.S. Civil Rights Act. In addition to that, the "Hero" singer also violated the Fair Employment and Housing Act as well as breach of contract.

Mariah Carey Explains Why She Fired Her Staff

Carey and Stolper used to have a close relationship with each other. The singer's manager had stood by her client's side during her tumultuous engagement to James Packer. She also worked for Carey for a couple of years, but the singer decided to fire her staff in 2017.

At the time, Carey explained why she decided to let some members of her staff go.

"I dismissed a majority of my team because I discovered that they didn't have my best interests at heart. My new team, including my manager Stella Bulochnikov, are the top of the line in the entertainment business and more importantly in my life and I am now much financially successful and more organized than in the past," said Carey.

Did Mariah Carey Sexually Harass Her Former Manager?

Also, in the legal documents that she filed, Stolper claimed that Carey had sexually harassed her because the "We Belong Together" singer was always naked in front of her. She further revealed that Carey engaged in sexual acts in front of her.

Stolper has also brought up Carey's substance abuse problem and said that the singer failed to take her bipolar disorder medications. The singer revealed that she had been diagnosed with the disorder in 2001.

However, a rep for Carey denied all of Stolper's claims.

"If this frivolous and baseless claim is filed, we will defend against it vigorously and successfully," said the singer's rep.

Mariah Carey Stars In Hostelworld Commercial

Other than the possible lawsuit, Carey also made headlines after she had starred in a new commercial for Hostelworld. The three-minute ad opens with Carey arriving at a hostel and initially thinking that her team booked her a lavish suite.

Upon seeing the low-end amenities of the hostel, Carey asks her staff to figure everything out. They go on a tour of the hostel and are quite impressed with the suite. When Carey sees the room, she appears to be extremely excited.
