Backstreet Boys is back with its new song "Don't Go Breaking My Heart." The band released the track on Thursday, May 17.

The song is also the group's follow-up to its 2013 album In A World Like This. Prior to their song's release, the group teased its arrival via their official Twitter account.

The first photo they uploaded was a silhouette featuring the members of Backstreet Boys. They captioned the snap with the word "Ready." A day later, the group shared another snap, which they captioned "Set." Their third picture was captioned with "Don't Go."

Finally, on Thursday, the group shared the cover art for "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and accompanied it with a dad-like joke that was in reference to the group's 1997 hits song "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)."

Band's Las Vegas Residency

In related news, Backstreet Boys celebrated its 25th anniversary in the music industry last month. The members are currently performing in Las Vegas as part of their residency. The band will have a series of shows in July, August, October, and November.

Backstreet Boys is also working on their 10th studio album. At the moment, however, no details have been released.

Backstreet Boys Music Career

The group, which is made up of AJ McLean, Howie D., Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell was formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993. Their band rose to fame following the release of their self-titled debut album in 1996. A year later, they released Backstreet's Back. In 1999, they dropped Millennium, and in 2000 they released Black & Blue.

Some of Backstreet Boys' most popular songs include "I Want It That Way," "As Long As You Love Me," "Larger Than Life," "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely," "Incomplete," "Quit Playing Games," "Shape of My Heart," and "Everybody."
