Lenny Kravitz takes inspiration from his idol, Michael Jackson, on his new song "Low." The funk track will appear on his album Raise Vibration.

"Low" is centered on the singer's sexuality. The song features the sounds of slap-bass, synth pads, and light guitar. "Low" also features the voice of the late King of Pop.

Some of Kravitz's fans initially thought that he was the only one that sang the song, and he just did an impression of Jackson. However, Kravitz wants to clarify that it was actually Jackson that sang "Low" with him.

Lenny Kravitz Gushes Over Michael Jackson

Kravitz has always been a huge Jackson fan. When he just a young boy, he attended a concert by the Jackson 5 at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. In 2001, Kravitz fulfilled a life-long dream of working with Jackson when he recorded his LP Invincible.

"He's the person who made it happen for me. He loved [us] working together. He asked me to push him. I did," said Kravitz.

Album Collaborations

During an interview, Kravitz was asked why he did not collaborate with modern-day hitmakers for his 11th studio album.

"I've never really worked that way, following trends or doing what people think you should do. I've always made music that came naturally out of me. What am I going to do? Make a trap record? Not that I don't like that stuff, but I've got to be me," explained Kravitz.

The musician also said that he dreamt his entire record, which will be out on Sept. 7.

Other than his upcoming album, Kravitz also announced that he will be embarking on his European world tour this summer. More details will be released soon.
