Paris Jackson exposed that someone might be using and exploiting the social media page of her grandfather Joe Jackson following news of his hospitalization.
Paris Jackson Responds To Joe Jackson Tweet
The young model and endorser slammed the tweet, which seemed to suggest that the Jackson patriarch, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, is ready to leave this world.
"This is a beautiful tweet," the 20-year-old wrote. "Though it upsets me to see whoever is in charge of this account taking advantage of it. my grandfather did not tweet this."
The social media page even attached a photo of Joe looking at the sunset. The tweet was made from a verified account and had photos and videos of the celebrity.
When fans asked if she checked with her grandfather if he, indeed, tweeted the sad message, Paris confirmed that she flew out and visited the 89-year-old. Michael's daughter added that she was with Joe from afternoon until the evening, so she is sure that he did not send out the message.
She also broke the news to fans that her old man does not really see the messages of support and love that his fans are leaving on his social media channels.
Last week, Variety revealed that the talent manager is back to the hospital with terminal cancer. Sources claim that Joe has been battling his illness for a while now. Members of the family have reportedly been told that cancer can no longer be treated and he only has a few moments to live.
Two years ago, fans also grew concern for his health after he was spotted in a hospital. However, he assured that he was only called in for a routine check-up and is in great health.
"The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated," he wrote on his website at the time. "I Am 100% Alive."
Janet Jackson Pays Tribute To Joe
Meanwhile, Janet Jackson honored her father amidst the news of his deteriorating health at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards. During her speech, she spoke about Joe's influence on her life and music.
"[I]f I have been fortunate enough to impact others it is only because I, myself, have been greatly impacted by positive people in my life," she said. "My mother nourished me with the most extravagant love imaginable, my father, my incredible father, drove me to be the best that I can."
Janet is reportedly working on her next album due to be released later this year.
