When it comes to movies, cartoon movies or animations are often hits on theaters, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and now even in streaming. When it comes to animations, Disney would be a household name, but of course, people would also recall Warner Bros. and Japanese animations or anime when the topic is cartoons.

In this age of streaming, Netflix brings cartoons to your homes, allowing you to view them anytime, anywhere. Here are some cartoon movies on Netflix that you shouldn't miss.

Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse

This movie is one of the first Spider-Man movies in the animated world, and it is a fun movie to watch since it features many characters that have the same powers as the original Spider-Man. This movie won an Oscar for Best Animated Picture. This film presents many renditions of Spider-Man packed in one movie, and all of them seem to enjoy each other. There is the original Spider-Man, then there's Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales, Penny Parker, and even Spider-Pig - a homage to the scene in The Simpsons Movie.

Monster House

Seldom do animated films feature haunted houses. Perhaps this is what makes Monster house a hit. This movie was shown in 2009. It tells the story of a dilapidated house in the suburbs. This house is home to an old, grumpy man. Meanwhile, three kids in the neighborhood risk their lives to explore the secrets of the house, which they deem haunted, or a monster. The film mixes horror and comedy quite well: it has some jump scares but with enough comedy for kids to endure.

Castle of Cagliostro

This Japanese animated movie or anime is from Hayao Miyazaki, one of the greatest animation movie directors. It is an entry from the Lupin III franchise, which is popular both in Japan and overseas. It is a crime story involving Lupin III and his gang trying to rob a casino until they find out the money is fake. The money is traced to a country named Cagliostro, where the leader, Count Cagliostro, wants to marry Princess Clarisse to gain more power.

Ralph Breaks the Internet

Wreck-It Ralph is a story of how Ralph explored other games inside an arcade. Ralph Breaks the Internet is where Ralph and his sidekick Vanellope explore the world of the Internet, which is larger than the world where the two belong.

The Princess and the Frog

This film is a twist from the popular fairy tale, the Princess and the Frog, or the Frog Prince. It is the story of a woman who wants to have a restaurant in New Orleans. She meets a talking frog who reveals himself as the prince of Maldonia. Tiana kisses the frog, Prince Naveen, to break the curse, but she becomes a frog too. The two went into an adventure on the Bayou and New Orleans.

Klaus

Although the movie is Christmas-themed, it does not have to be Christmas for you to check it out. This award-winning film, which bagged the Best Animated Film in the British Academy Film Awards, 2020, tells the story of Jesper, a spoiled young man forced to take over the family business of delivering mail. He is sent to a Smeerendburg, a remote area where he meets Klaus, a toymaker. They end up being partners, as Jesper gets children to write letters, but he gets entangled with the multi-generational family feud between the Krum and Ellingboes, a war that seems to have no ending.
