Ed Sheeran might be known for his distinct sound of music and writing about love songs most of the time, but it seems like he's ready to explore more genres as the British singer will collaborate with a rock band following his duet with Taylor Swift.

According to Billboard, the pop star is teaming up with British rock band "Bring Me the Horizon."

The two collaborators are set to release a re-recorded version of their hard rock version of "Bad Habits."

The official song will drop on Friday, February 18.

The announcement was shared through a video on social media where Sheeran can be seen talking with the band's vocalist, Oli Skyes, via FaceTime.

Sheeran and Skyes discussed their shocking opening performance during BRIT Awards.

"Man, that show was nuts, thank you so much for doing that," the "Joker and the Queen" singer noted.

The pair talked about their "controversial" performance in which the song featured screaming vocals and rock instruments from "Bring Me the Horizon."

Later in the call, Skyes said that fans are demanding an official studio version of the song, to which Sheeran responded with, "We have to get one out. Do you think we can turn it around fast?"

Fans immediately took to social media to express their excitement, with one fan writing, "WHAT DID I HEAR? YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT A STUDIO VERSION?!!!! Well, yes please!!! MENTAL! I LOVED your performance! It was insanly good!"

"MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED," another fan wrote.

"Yes absolutely a studio version I bloody loved the song. Love you both and please do more songs together," one tweeted.

The recent announcement comes a few days after Sheeran drops his highly-anticipated collaboration with his good pal Taylor Swift.

On February 10, the duo released a remix version of "The Joker and the Queen," which featured piano instrumentals and Swift's vocals.

The song became a massive hit to fans as it is projected to hit the number two spot on the Official United Kingdom Singles Chart.

They could also beat their previous collab, "Everything Has Changed," which peaked at number seven in 2012.

"Joker and the Queen's" release was accompanied by a music video that featured the younger version of themselves that also appeared in their previous collab, which was released a decade ago.
