Phil Collins, amid his health issues, managed to perform for the last time with Genesis at their O2 Arena show last month. At that time, the 71-year-old sparked concern as he remained seated throughout the performance. But he also caused heartbreak after delivering the news about his desire to finally find "a real job."

Following the declaration, Collins' son, Nic, was asked what made the recent Genesis reunion possible and if it would happen again soon.

No More Phil Collins and Genesis?

Speaking with Rolling Stones, Nic took his time to share his thoughts about Genesis' last tour and his current stand on the band's potential reunification.

For what it's worth, the rock band went through several hiatus before they came together again. Due to their history of coming out after a long break, fans are hopeful to see his father and the whole band again.

However, that does not seem to be the case anymore.

The news outlet noted that Nic once said that the odds of a Genesis reunion were slim. However, the band came back again.

According to Collins' son, Genesis' tour on "Not Dead Yet" with his father changed it a lot. He acknowledged Collins' efforts in performing in front of their fans despite his health struggles.

Although he has been dealing with issues, he was still able to sing and put on a good show.

"I think when Tony [Banks] and Mike [Rutherford] saw that, it was encouraging to them. And they saw that I was playing with him. The big factor for a Genesis thing going ahead was my dad being able to play drums. Since he wasn't, the fact that I was made the situation better," he said.

Nic then assumed that if his father was just sitting at that time, he did not think that the bandmates would still think of playing together.

Collins already told "BBC Breakfast" in September that he could barely hold a stick with his hands after sustaining a spinal injury. His vertebrae were crushing his spinal cord due to the position he follows whenever he drums in.

As the legendary drummer's future is now blurry, Nic dismissed the idea of having a show with the Genesis members even remotely. He clarified that the band had already grown, and they all wanted to do separate things already.
