Kate Bush has finally run up that hill as her 1985 classic hit reaches a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100 charts Top 10!

Her song, "Running Up That Hill," was prominently featured on Netflix's Original Series "Stranger Things" Season 4, Volume 1, Episode 4.

With the massive success of the series globally, the song has woken up from oblivion as it was used in a now-iconic scene of actress Sadie Sink's character "Max Mayfield" as she flees from the show's main antagonist, "Vecna."

Since its release last May 27, 2022, the track's streams and sales have skyrocketed - thanks also to TikTok, which was also instrumental in making the sound more viral.

Kate Bush 'Running Up That Hill' Hits Billboard Hot 100 Top 10

Four days after "Stranger Things" was released worldwide, Spotify has reported an 8700% increase in global streams and 9,900% in the United States.

Before the release, "Running Up That Hill" was Bush's highest placing song on the Hot 100 charts at No. 30. Early predictions said that the song is expected to run higher in the charts in the following tracking week because of the current success of "Stranger Things" Season 4, Volume 1.

Truthfully, the predictions came to fruition.

On the most recent Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Charts, "Running Up That Hill" claimed the No. 8 spot, the track's all-time high so far. The track last appeared on the Hot 100 charts in January 1986 at No. 30.

With this new feat, Kate Bush now has her first Top 10 hit with "Running Up That Hill," 37 years after it was released.

Billboard also reported that the song was the No. 1 top-selling song this week, beating Lady Gaga's "Hold My Hand" from "Top Gun: Maverick."

Aside from the track, the album it was released with also gained traction in the charts. "Hounds of Love" re-entered the Billboard 200 charts at No. 28, beating its original position in April 1986 at No. 30.

Currently, it is now tied with Bush's other album, "The Red Shoes," as the singer's highest-charting album on the charts, both at No. 28.

A few days back, Kate Bush reacted to the song's recent uptake in sales and streamings globally, noting how she loved the show and the fans who were giving her track "a whole new lease of life."
