Kate Bush was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside Miyys Elliott, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, the Spinners, and Sheryl Crow.

However, the "Wuthering Heights" singer did not attend her induction, instead, she issued a statement thanking everyone who voted for her and congratulated her fellow inductees.

"I am completely blown away by this huge honor - an award that sits in the big beating heart of the American music industry," Bush wrote in a statement uploaded on her website.

"Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. I never imagined I would be given this wonderful accolade."

Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill'

Bush's music career received its second lease on life after her song "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" became a viral hit sensation after being used in Neyflix's hit series "Stranger Things."

"Last year was such a surprisingly successful time for my track Running Up That Hill and I'm sure that a lot of you who've voted me in to the RRHOF also drove that track up the charts," the singer-songwriter continued.

According to reports, the song initially peaked at No. 30 following its release, but peaked at No. 3 shortly after it was featured on "Stranger Things."

"I'm afraid I won't be able to attend the ceremony tonight, but for me the real honor is knowing that you felt I deserved it. The RRHOF has welcomed me into the most extraordinary rostrum of overwhelming talent."

Kate Bush's Victory Lap

To celebrate her successful year, Bush began making plans to reissue all her back music catalogs which included 10 albums.

Before Bush's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, there was a heartfelt speech delivered by Big Boi.

"I fell in love with Kate Bush in middle school. My uncle Russell, my favorite uncle, turned me onto her and I listened to 'Running Up That Hill' on my bike," The Outkast rapper began.

"[...] So since then, I've been obsessed with her music and remained her biggest fan

"[...] What I love about Kate's music is that I never know what sound I'm gonna hear next. She ignores anything that seems like a formula and instead just does whatever she wants to do, like me. She challenges me as a listener and expands my ears and my mind."
