Over the holiday weekend, Lizzo showed her ardent support for reproductive rights by pledging to donate her own brand's proceeds to abortion advocacy groups.

On July 4, the 34-year-old musician said on Instagram that all revenues from her Yitty brand from July 2 through July 4 will be donated to support 'body autonomy

'@yitty 100% OF NET PROCEEDS TO @abortionfunds ALL WEEKEND LONG. JULY 2-4. Celebrating freedom on our terms. Liberating Every Damn Body,' Lizzo wrote as caption of an Instagram video.

The beautiful singer displayed her own brand by wearing a red Yitty bodysuit with jean shorts and matching red lipstick.

"Yitty is all about body autonomy," the star also said in the video. "You should be the only one who has a say on how you feel and what you do with your body," she shared. She called for women to celebrate their bodies and in so doing, support those organizations pouring their efforts in the front line for body autonomy.

In March, Lizzo announced the launch of Yitty, her shapewear line, and recently released a new collection.

As a result of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, a number of celebrities went to social media on Monday to effectively 'cancel' Fourth of July celebrations.

Katy Perry, whose song "Firework" is the unofficial hymn of Independence Day, used a new viral meme to criticize women's rights in America.

She said women in the United States have fewer rights than a real fireworks display.

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian both posted the same meme on their Instagram Stories and said the Fourth of July has been canceled because independence is not true for women.

Jessica Chastain, on the other hand, let her fingers do the talking in her Instagram photo. She greeted her fans a Happy Independence Day with both her dirty fingers raised up.

Diane Kruger opted for brevity with a text-only Instagram story that stated, "Not much to celebrate, America."

Lisa Rinna, who did celebrate the holiday with a red, white, and blue bikini photo, reminded her fans that Roe v. Wade had been overturned while they were enjoying cocktails and hot dogs.

Apart from this particular donation from Yitty, Lizzo has expressed her support for Planned Parenthood in another way. Within hours following the Supreme Court's decision, the Grammy-winning artist revealed that she will donate $500,000 from the proceeds of her next tour to the national nonprofit that provides reproductive healthcare to women. Live Nation, the tour's sponsor, has agreed to double Lizzo's donation, bringing the grand total to a significant $1 million.
