Kate Bush has had a successful year so far as she continues to dominate the charts with her song "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" despite the track being released decades ago. Today, the English singer has reached another milestone on a different platform.

According to Variety, the official music video of her song has just surpassed 100 million views on YouTube a few months after the song started becoming viral because of its appearance on the fourth season of "Stranger Things."

The video was first uploaded to the video streaming platform in January 2011 and it initially had 48.2 million views last May 25, days before the fourth season of the Netflix series was released.

Prior to the video getting millions of views, it also dominated the charts and managed to enter the top 10.

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

In early reports, production of "Stranger Things" had to come up with different ideas in order to align their setting to the story.

The show is set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the 80s, so many throwback references can be seen throughout the show.

One of the most pivotal moments was when the song "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" played to save Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink, from being taken away by Vecna.

It became a significant part of the plot as it started when Nancy and Robin, played by Natalia Dyer and Maya Hawke, did their research and found out that music could help stop the demonic creature to stop its plans.

As the two women realized the significance of listening to music, they immediately radioed their information to Dustin, Lucas, and Steve, leading them to put earphones on Max as she levitates.

The plan was successful as Max was able to get out of the upside down.

In the second volume of season 4, the song was used again during the show's climax scenes, but this time, the track was accompanied by an orchestra.

Since the release of the season, Kate Bush has reacted to the success of her song by releasing a statement on her official website.

She noted that the show "features the song, 'Running Up That Hill' which is being given a whole new lease of life by the young fans who love the show - I love it too!" she wrote.

The English singer added that the moment feels "exciting" because the song continues to chart in different countries worldwide.
