Following his arrest last Sunday, Mystikal was denied bond recently by a Louisiana judge.

Last Sunday, the rapper was accused of raping and holding a woman against her will in his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The presiding judge that ruled over Mystikal's arrest has made it apparent that the rapper's questionable criminal history is what led him to his decision against the bond release.

Mystikal Denied Bond After Huge Arrest in Louisiana

According to Rolling Stone, Louisiana State District Judge Steven Tureau said that his ruling on the bond release was based on the nature of the crime that Mystikal has committed.

For Tureu, it was a "clear and convincing" argument to decide against the bond considering he was accused of rape and assault.

This is because Mystikal, formally known as Michael Tyler, was a lifetime registered sex offender.

Over the weekend, Mystikal was arrested and taken into custody in the Ascension Parish Jail after being charged with first-degree rape, felony domestic abuse, battery by strangulation, simple robbery, and simple criminal damage to property,

The charges, however, do not stop there - an additional five drug counts were included following a seize operation in his home.

Mystikal will remain in jail until his scheduled trial. The court has not yet released any information on the details of his trial.

Mystikal's Lawyer Argues Rapper's Innocence Despite 'Weird' Encounter

In a hearing that took place last Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, Detective Garrett Keith testified about a "bizarre" encounter.

According to Detective Keith, the woman who Mystikal had assaulted claimed that the rapper's behavior changed "abruptly."

She alleged that Tyler took her keys, choked, and pulled her hair. After the violent encounter, he apologized later on and started praying with her all of a sudden. Moments after, he proceeded to pour rubbing alcohol on the woman to remove the "bad spirits" on her.

On the other hand, the medical examination conducted on the abused woman found that she has been raped and had sustained injuries from sexual assault.

Meanwhile, Mystikal's rapper, Roy Maughan Jr., remains committed to his client, arguing that he is innocent despite the detailed testimony.

"I just don't think that's in Mr. Tyler to do that," Maughan said to the press.
