After being denied bond earlier this year after a strange testimony of the victim, rapper Mystikal is finally indicted with First-Degree rape.

Last August, Mystikal faced legal heat after being sued for rape, which is not new to him given his very-telling criminal history.

Since the bond denial, Mystikal has stayed in jail.

Mystikal Indicted, Awaiting Sentencing

According to Variety, rapper Mystikal was indicted by a Louisiana jury. The case was connected to rape and alleged sexual assault that took place in a stranger yet traumatizing encounter in the plaintiff's life last July.

Formally known as Michael Lawrence Tyler, rape and sexual assault was not the only case that Mystikal is facing. Counts of false imprisonment, domestic abuse by strangulation, damage to property, drug possession, and simple robbery were also included, the New Orleans Advocate reported.

Last July 30, Mystikal was arrested for attacking a female person and was embroiled in an encounter that turned violent. The rapper was said to have sexually assaulted her and took her keys afterward.

Mystikal is not open to the possibility of bail and remains in the custody of the Ascension Parish Prison. He is also a lifetime sex offender following his 2003 conviction for extortion and sexual assault.

Stranger Encounter Led to the Crime, Mystikal's Arrest

As investigations in the case came after, it was found that Mystikal had an unusual appetite for committing his crime.

The woman in question revealed that Mystikal's behaviors and expressions changed "abruptly" on the commission of the crime.

After taking her keys, choking her, and pulling her hair, Mystikal strangely apologized and started praying shortly after.

The rapper then proceeded to splash the woman with rubbing alcohol in an attempt to flush out the "bad spirits" away.

However, medical results revealed that despite the bizarre encounter with the rapper, she was still raped and has suffered injuries following a sexual assault.

Mystikal's legal team remains headstrong in clearing out their client's innocence in the case.

"It's an indictment. It means nothing. We look forward to our day in court," his team said at the time.

If Mystikal would be proven guilty of the crimes thrown at him, he would be facing a life sentence in jail without any possibility of bail.
