Adele had a premonition about space movies, and she warned Jennifer Lawrence against taking a role in a space-theme movie, but the latter did not heed her advice.

In her interview with the New York Times, Lawrence expressed her regret about taking on the 2016 film, "Passengers," a space-themed movie in which she starred opposite Chris Pratt.

When asked about a movie that made her question her career choices, she replied, "'Passengers,' I guess."

"Adele told me not to do it! She was like, 'I feel like space movies are the new vampire movies.' I should have listened to her," she added.

The movie followed two astronauts who accidentally woke up 90 years early from hibernation.

Unlike her other movies, "The Hunger Games" trilogy or "Silver Linings Playbook," "Passengers" was not well-received. Of all of the movies Jennifer Lawrence has starred in, this one was reportedly performed poorly, with a measly 19% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Regrets

Lawrence expressed her regret in starring in the movie, which caused her to question her worth as an actress.

"I was like, 'Oh no, you guys are here because I'm here, and I'm here because you're here. Wait, who decided that this was a good movie?'" She told the New York Times.

She revealed that the movie just did not click for her fanbase and it made her "feel more of a celebrity than an actor" who was "cut off from [her] creativity [and her] imagination."

Besties

Some fans might wonder why did Adele give Lawrence advice anyway? According to the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, after living in Los Angeles for a number of years, it was inevitable that she would befriend another celebrity.

She revealed to Rolling Stone that she had befriended two celebrities during her Los Angeles residency-Lawrence and Nicole Richie.

"They humanized me because I had avoided talking to anyone that was ever famous in any capacity, because I was like, 'Well, I'm not famous,'" she said about her friendship.

"We never spoke about work, which was amazing, because most of the time when I catch up with someone, they want to know all about my work, and I'm like, 'I don't want to talk about that. Can we talk about something else? I'm knackered.'"
