In an interview with "VladTV", Juelz Santana opened up about the real reason why his joint album with Lil Wayne, "I Can't Feel My Face," was never released despite getting leaked before.

Santana and Lil Wayne are known to be collaborators. They have worked on several albums together, this is why it came as no surprise to fans that the two decided to put out a joint album, however, what is a surprise is the reason why it is yet to be released.

"Me and Wayne, just like normal, we did a bunch of records together," Santana explained. "A project worth got leaked. About 20 records did get leaked out there, which is the 'I Can't Feel My Face'."

Santana blamed it on the politics behind the scenes. "Politics-wise, we didn't get to put the album out on a major label because there was too much politics at the time."

He cited several recording labels that had a hand in the project, including Def Jame, Universal, Cash Money, and Diplomats. He added that having these "four different entities" come to an agreement proved to be difficult.

Back In The Day

Santana explained how the times are vastly different from it is now, and how the artists' collaboration was but a little part of a bigger picture.

"That time, like the way you get projects now from big artists, you didn't get back in the day around our time because it was so much involved for you to get that.

"It was never about the artists, we were cool, and we was making music together. It was way bigger than us. We didn't have the end-all control. See, now it's a lot less," he added several artists who have put out joint albums in recent years.

Drake, an artist Santana kept referring to, has worked with several rappers in recent years.

Drake and 21 Savage's joint album, "Her Loss," is currently topping Billboard charts as of this writing.

According to Juelz, it's a matter of when "I Can't Feel My Face" will be released. Juelz eleborated, saying: ""We actually got music recorded right now, so as far as an I Can't Feel My Face project, me and Wayne, it's never to the point to where it's like is it ever coming out. It can come out tomorrow."
