After a long wait, Fall Out Boy has finally confirmed that they're coming back with a new single and a possible new album in the near future; when is it coming out?

The pop rock band has been teasing their fans by sharing cryptic advertisements, mysterious postcards, and more over the past few months and today, they're ready to announce when their next project is dropping.

Taking to their official Twitter account, the group shared the title of their next single called "Love From The Other Side" which will be available for purchase and streaming on major music platforms starting January 18.

To conclude their caption, the band teased the possibility of releasing a new album this year by writing, "lots more to come soon."

In the video posted, NME reported that it featured vocals from frontman Patrick Stump singing the lyrics of their highly-anticipated comeback track.

"Sending my love from the other side of the apocalypse / And I've just about snapped / Don't look back / Every lovers got a little dagger in their hand," the lyrics goes.

It's been nearly five years since Fall Out Boy last released a studio album. Their previous project, "Mania," was released in 2018.

Fall Out Boy Teased Fans Before Sharing the Announcement

The most recent teaser that the band did was sending seashells to unsuspecting fans and other musicians. The outlet reported that Oli Skyes of Bring Me The Horizon had received one.

Taking to his official Instagram account, the musician wrote, "Wtf what is this & why is it at my house." The pink and white seashell came with a letter which read "Love from the other side."

After fans received the mysterious item, they received an e-mail titled "A Homeboy's Life" where Fall Out Boy revealed that they have been "jamming ideas" that they couldn't wait to share publicly.

Over the past few months, fans also received postcards from "Pink Seashell Beach" that contained what appeared to be lyrics from an unreleased song. At the time, they also launched a website called "Sending My Love From Seashell Beach."

The teasers began appearing on late November when a mysterious advertisement appeared on the November 26 issue of the Chicago Tribune. An entire page was covered in black with white text that reads "FOB 8" along with the phrase, "if you build it, they will come."
