It's been a few days since David Crosby passed away and many fans are still paying tribute and remembering him on different platforms of social media. However, since his name has been making rounds, there have been several tweets of him from the past that resurfaced where he seemed to have criticized another genre.

According to Do You Remember, the Crosby, Stills, & Nash co-founder disliked the punk rock genre as apparent to his previous post.

It all began when a music festival called the Riot Fest tagged the legend on Twitter, asking him if he didn't want to come to their event. They further explained that the festival is a three-day event in Chicago that features performances by punk rock artists.

A fan then replied to the tweet sharing names of different bands, but Crosby was not pleased as he quote-retweeted with the caption, "Pretty much all dumb stuff...no musical value at all and mostly childish lyrics."

He also deemed the punk rock genre "crappy music."

David Crosby Death: Singer Working on Tour and New Album Before Passing?

In early reports, musician Steve Postell spoke to Variety to slam the claims that David Crosby suffered from a long-term illness that led to his sudden death.

The singer said he was with Crosby during his final days planning a supposed tour as he wasn't able to perform in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both artists discussed several plans for the tour like buses, official venues, production staff, and the band that would perform alongside him.

Postell then revealed that the singer was still working and preparing things before he passed away, contrary to what the public assumed that he had been in bed for years.

"He hadn't lost the fire. I'd like people to know that he was on it. He was writing, playing, singing his ass off and preparing a fantastic show. That's what he was doing," he added.

Young artist Sarah Jarosz was one of the singers that Crosby admired when he was still alive and she confirmed that she collaborated with the musician on his next album.

In a Facebook post, the young star revealed she sang on his album just three days before his death. Her vocals were recorded remotely before sending it to Crosby's son, Raymond.

Although the project wasn't completed, Raymond assured him that his father was able to listen to the song and appreciated it before his death.
