Pink has been around in the music industry for decades and she's been considered one of the most iconic pop music acts of all time. However, there was a point in her career when the public told her that starting a family and having children would be the end of her success; what was her response?

The "Walf of Shame" songstress recently sat down with Zane Lowe for Apple Music to discuss her experiences throughout her years-long career, as well as her personal life with her husband and kids.

Looking back, Pink recalled the things people have told her, like, "'If you have children right now, your career's over.'"

Instead of listening to other people's comments about her life decisions, Pink decided to bear children of her own and defied all odds. This life-changing move made a long-lasting impact on her as considers having kids as the beginning of her career.

"When I had a child, I think it softened me to the world... I think that's when my career began, really. I mean, I did a lot of stuff before that, but really, truly, I think it's when I started to really understand myself and understand the world and my place in it," she said. (via People Magazine)

Today, Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, is happily married to Carey Hart. They share two children together: 11-year-old Willow Sage and 6-year-old Jameson.

Elsewhere in the interview, the pop star opened up about her family growing up and her desire to give her children a better life because she never had the perfect guidance.

Explaining why having a family was important to her, Pink noted that she grew up with "screwed" family life and it's one of the main reasons why she's very affectionate and goofy.

In other updates, Pink is set to release her new album "TRUSTFALL" this February 17, 2023. The record is now available for pre-sale and pre-order on her official website.

The pop star also has a series of concerts throughout 2023 beginning at the Macron Stadium in Bolton, United Kingdom, on June 7, 2023.

She will also visit several cities across the UK, Europe, and Australia. For tickets and complete tour dates, visit her official page here.
