Lana Del Rey famously appeared on Taylor Swift's most recent album, "Midnights," in the track that shocked both Swifties and Lana Del Rey fans - "Snow on the Beach."

When the "Midnights" tracklist was released, the hype surrounding the track was off the charts, with fans calling the link-up one for the books as Swift was not big on having collaborations with women on her albums.

So far, only Colbie Caillat, The Dixie Chicks, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lana Del Rey have collaborated with Swift on her albums, which is why the latter's addition was quite a monumental one.

But when the full track was released in October, with the whole "Midnights" album, it was safe to say that many were underwhelmed with Del Rey's verse on "Snow on the Beach."

Instead of hearing her entire vocal prowess on the song like what a usual collaboration is, it would seem like Del Rey just provided faint backing vocals on the track.

Fans have poked fun and have expressed their frustration on how underwhelming Del Rey's addition was on track.

Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey 'Snow on the Beach' Collaboration

Now, in a new Billboard interview, the "Norman F--king Rockwell" hitmaker is finally speaking out on the issue.

Asked what her experience collaborating with her dear friend Swift was, Del Rey had this to say:

"Well, first of all, I had no idea I was the only feature [on that song]. Had I known, I would have sung the entire second verse like she wanted," she admitted. "My job as a feature on a big artist's album is to make sure I help add to the production of the song, so I was more focused on the production."

Should Del Rey have given her all on the track, we would have been in possession of "Midnights," the next banger hit to "Anti-Hero."

But nonetheless, Del Rey revealed that Swift seemed to love what she put out for, regardless of how big the former's contribution was.

"She was very adamant that she wanted me to be on the album, and I really liked that song. I thought it was nice to be able to bridge that world, since Jack [Antonoff] and I work together and so do Jack and Taylor," she continued.

"Snow on the Beach" debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, the same week that Swift historically swept the entire Top 10 of the said coveted charts, all while occupying the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums charts too.
