The Cure will be going on tour this year and many fans are excited to attend their shows as this would be their first concert in years. However, it appears that not all ticket holders can watch the show as the band made a big move for scalped passes; what happened?

According to Loudwire, the group shared an official statement in early March, saying they will not be using Ticketmaster's "dynamic pricing" or "platinum" ticketing options in order to have a more affordable and fair price range.

Instead of the two options mentioned above, the group used the "Verified Fan" tool which makes the passes non-transferrable once they were purchased.

The Cure Concert 2023 Scalped Tickets Won't be VALID

More recently, frontman Robert Smith took to his official Twitter account to warn fans about scalper scams who offer account login details.

"Beware another scalper scam: Offering to sell/send account login details to get around Ticketmaster transfer limitations... any/all tickets obtained in this way will be canceled, and original fees paid on those tickets will not be refunded," he wrote.

The singer was implying that scalped tickets will be canceled, meaning fans who bought second-hand passes will not be able to watch the show and they will also not be refunded.

It appears that the price of canceled tickets will not be wasted as it will be used for a good cost. Smith added, "Original fees paid on those tickets will be donated to Amnesty International, and the tickets themselves will be resold to fans."
