Ever since Dolly Parton announced that she would be releasing a rock album, many fans couldn't wait to hear more information about the project as it would be different from the musician's previous projects.

More recently, a famous rock star confirmed that he contributed to one of the songs included in the upcoming album; who could this be?

Dolly Parton Rock Album: John 5 Confirms Collaboration

According to Loudwire, Motley Crue's new member, John 5, confirmed in an interview that he played guitar for a track and he's grateful for the opportunity of working with the country legend.

"I am so honored that I got the opportunity to play guitar on one of the songs on the upcoming Dolly Parton album," he said.

The rocker also noted that he has been listening to the "Jolene" songstress for as long as he could remember and words can't describe how exciting their collaboration would be.

As of this writing, Dolly Parton has yet to reveal the official release date of the songs and the album.

Aside from John 5, whose real name is John William Lowery, Motley Crue member Nikki Sixx also confirmed that he played bass on one of the country singer's songs, but the information about the collab has yet to be publicized.

Dolly Parton Rock Album 2023 Collaborators

There will be a lot of collaborators for the musician's upcoming rock album as she previously confirmed during her appearance on "The Rachel Ray Show."

The singer said she's got "wonderful iconic songs" that her fans and other listeners have loved throughout the decades and also some of the biggest musicians in the industry in her upcoming record.

Some of the collaborators she named were Elton John and the Beatles member Paul McCartney; she's also hoping for Cher to tag along.

"Hopefully we're going to have Cher... We've got all kinds of wonderful people," she told the host. (via People Magazine)

The rock album was announced after Dolly Parton accepted her induction at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. The singer, who initially declined the induction as she believes that she belongs to the country music scene, confirmed she's doing an album titled "Rock Star."

She also spoke to The View  about the other featuring stars on the record, including Pink, Stevie Nicks, Brandi Carlile and many more.
