Danny Brown stated several times in the past that he has been struggling with alcohol addiction and it affected his relationships with the people close to him.

More recently, it appears that the rapper is heading in the right direction as he gave fans an update after getting treatment for his problems.

The musician released the latest episode of his "The Danny Brown Show" in which he gave a glimpse of his personal life after seeking help from professionals.

The Detroit-based hip-hop artist said going to a rehabilitation center made him appreciate his life and career even more as there were other people in the program who had more tragic experiences than him.

"I will say man, like being in treatment and all that s***, one thing it did do: It humbled the f*** out of me," he said. (via Complex)

The "Lean Beef Patty" hitmaker added that getting help made him show a lot of gratitude as he heard many stories of the people there that have many problems.

"They gotta go back to work, they gotta go work a real, regular 9-5 job. I have one of the best jobs in the f****** world, man. So I was taking a lot of s*** for granted," he said.

Danny Brown Voluntarily Sought Help

The latest episode comes after he ranted on his show, targeting his record label for being the reason why his album hasn't been released yet despite it being done for two years now.

Later in that episode, Danny Brown asked fans to use the hashtags #fFreeDanny and #FreeQaranta for his music project to be dropped in the near future.

However, after the show was released online, he clarified on Twitter that he was drunk at the time of filming and revealed that he will be checked into rehab the following day for his alcohol addiction.

Danny Brown's Addiction Makes Him Hurt People

After posting the tweet on his account, one fan pointed out that it was the rapper who asked his followers to harass his manager, Dart Parker.

He later replied and admitted that alcohol is something that he needs to remove from his lifestyle because it makes him hurt the people he cares the most.
