It seems as though pop-punk boy band 5 Seconds of Summer never stops releasing new music. Today (Aug. 27), the VMA winning band teased a new track "Daylight" on its Tumblr from the forthcoming Amnesia single EP.
"Daylight" continues to cater to 5SOS' tween demographic with its lyrics. Focusing on a toxic yet captivating and intense relationship, this song finds the boys singing about a sci-fi friend and his girl, citing Twilight and Goosebumps books.
"I got a friend who's committed to sci-fi / He's read every comic, he's addicted to Twilight / He'll give you the Goosebumps, but he's never led me wrong / He said, she's got a method of killing," the band will sing in the first verse, before revealing that this girl isn't an ordinary heartbreaker... she's something a little more supernatural.

"Daylight" will be released on Sept. 8 as a part of the Amnesia EP. The tracklist also includes "Amnesia" and live versions of "American Idiot" and the title track. The EP is available for pre-sale now.
