Perry Farrell's bands Porno for Pyros and Jane's Addiction have back-to-back surprises this year.

The long wait will soon be over for Porno for Pyros and Jane's Addiction fans as the bands are set to release new music this year, according to the singer.

Porno for Pyros, Jane's Addiction's 2023 Comeback Music

Farrell dropped the news during his interview with Matt Pinfield of 95.5 KLOS's "New & Approved," confirming that new music from his bands would arrive.

The new material will mark Porno for Pyros' first music since marking their reunion at the Welcome to Rockville Festival and Jane's Addiction's other project after debuting their new song, "True Love," in March amid Dave Navarro's health battle.

Apart from performances and shows, Farrell hinted at two "great songs" from the bands.

"I don't know if we can call any of them albums," the singer said. "I don't know if I necessarily am up for an album just yet, but, hey, three or four songs from both groups would be plenty, right?"

Porno for Pyros started promoting as a band following Jane's Addiction's disbandment in 1992 and welcomed the latter's former members, Ferrell and Perkins.

Farrell did not mention the current lineups of Porno for Pyros and Jane's Addiction, but he expressed elsewhere in the interview how he had a great time working with original bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins again.

Before the confirmation of Porno for Pyros and Jane's Addiction's upcoming music, Farrell sat for an interview with radio station 89 A Radio Rock, wherein he discussed his enthusiasm for creating new songs.

"I feel that this new bunch of songs... We don't know how many we're gonna put out," Farrell said. "But I can tell you one thing: it's been one of the most exciting times of my life, because these songs are that good."

Jane's Addiction's last album, "The Great Escape Artist," was released in 2011. Meanwhile, Porno for Pyros only have two studio albums - "Porno for Pyros" and "Good God's Urge" - but successfully conquered charts with the singles "Hard Charger," "Tahitian Moon," "Sadness," "Pets," and "Cursed Female."

Farrell is yet to confirm the upcoming shows featuring both bands, leading fans to assume that they might be focusing on the new music for now.
