Patti LaBelle will honor the late Queen of Rock N' Roll Tina Turner at the BET Awards this year.

"Tina, the world will forever be grateful for your voice, your fearlessness, and your grace," LaBelle wrote in an Instagram post with Turner's picture. "You truly are the Queen of Rock & Roll and your spirit will reign forever! Rest in eternal peace and love!"

According to reports, other artists who will accompany LaBelle are Fabolous, Redman, Styles P, and YG, as well as the previously announced group of artists: Sugarhill Gang, MC Lyte, Big Daddy Kane, E-40, Fat Joe, Warren G, Trina, Remy Ma, and more.

Tribute to Tina Turner

According to Rolling Stone, LaBelle expressed her gratitude and excitement about the tribute ahead of her performance. She reflected on Tuner's role in reshaping the music industry and inspiring countless artists and aspiring singers.

"Tina was a trailblazer and someone I have a tremendous amount of respect for because of all that she overcame and all that she accomplished," the singer said.

"She was and is everything! And I am honored that I am able to pay tribute to her in this way."

As of this writing, LaBelle is yet to perform the tribute, and there are no updates on which songs she is set to sing.

However, fans are hopeful that the singer might breathe new life into some of Turner's most iconic songs, which made her a household name and cemented her legacy like "What's Love Got To Do With It," "Proud Mary," "Private Dancer," and more.

Tina Turner's Tragic Death

According to reports, Turner died in her home in Switzerland on May 24 after suffering from a long illness. She was 83.

Her family, who announced her sudden and tragic death, did not disclose what caused the singer's death. However, it has previously been reported that Turner had fought against several illnesses and conditions including intestinal cancer and a stroke.

On the other hand, LaBelle, who will lead the tribute, was bestowed with the BET lifetime achievement award in 2011.

The BET Awards is slated to start at 8 p.m. at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. This year's lifetime achievement award recipient is Busta Rhymes.

The rapper will also receive his own special tribute performance from fellow rappers.
