Unbeknownst to many Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband Brandon Blackstock is the stepson of Queen of Country Reba McEntire. Since Clarkson and Blackstock divorced, people were quite curious whether Clarkson and McEntire's relationship have been strained since then.
Andy Cohen was one of those people. However, he eventually learned the real score between Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire in an interview with the former on his talkshow.
Is Kelly Clarkson Mad At Reba McEntire After Brandon Blackstock Divorce?
Speaking to the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Cohen shoot his shot and asked one of the internet's most-burning questions directly to Clarkson.
"Not at all. We were friends before Brandon and I got together," Clarkson clarified, even revealing that they "text each other all the time."
Notably, Clarkson and McEntire recently worked in "The Voice" as Clarkson returned for Season 23, and McEntire served as a Mega Mentor to the contestants that season. However, Clarkson would not be returning for Season 24 but McEntire will be taking over Blake Shelton's chair from now on.
Elaborating more about what she thought about her and McEntire, Clarkson said that they are "both women of sound mind that know that life doesn't work out sometimes."
Clarkson and Blackstock share two children - River and Remington. When the messy and controversial divorce took place, the two kids were severely impacted as mentioned several times by Clarkson in many interviews.
She went on to point out that McEntire would "know best" since she had a similar experience before.

Reba McEntire Relationship Timeline
In 1976, McEntire married steer wrestling champion and rancher Charlie Battles who was 10 years older than her at the time. They had two children, but they divorced in 1987 and pursued her career in Nashville, Tennessee.
Two years later, McEntire married Narvel Blackstock, the father of Brandon Blackstock. She went on to become a mother to Blackstock's kids, Chassidy, Shawna, and Brandon. They too have one kid, Shelby McEntire-Blackstock.
However, in 2015, Narvel and Reba divorced but remained very close to her step-children and their children, which she considers to be her grandchildren too.
Speaking to Extra in 2021, McEntire reflected on the couple's divorce.
"You know, I love them both, Brandon's my stepson, Kelly's my good friend and I'm pulling for both of them. I hope they're happy and healthy and pull through this," she said. "I pray that everybody gives them the encouragement that they can because they need it right now, both of them. I love them both with all my heart."
