Madonna is currently in a vulnerable state as she had just been released from the hospital after being in the ICU over the weekend, but despite her medical condition, there were still trolls who made fun of her and sent negative comments all over social media.

Luckily for the pop superstar, one major celebrity has her back and she was defended from trolls.

Taking to her official TikTok account, TV personality Kathy Griffin shared a video to call out negative fans for their unruly remarks about the singer.

In the beginning of the clip, the comedian said she doesn't know what exactly is going on with the musician lately, but she loves her and wanted to defend her despite them not meeting yet.

"I think she has provided the world with decades of music and entertainment... but I don't like how people are already piling on and sort of making fun of her being obviously ill."

Griffin then shared her honest thoughts, revealing that most negative comments that Madonna is currently amassing are stemmed from ageism and misogyny.

Madonna Health Update

Madonna has yet to publicly address her fans regarding her health condition, but there have been several reports on what happened to the pop star, specifically the state of her health prior to the hospitalization.

According to a news outlet, the 64-year-old superstar reportedly suffered from a low-grade fever for a month before she was found unresponsive over the weekend.

The reason why she had been ignoring the illness was that she was focused on rehearsing and getting ready for her upcoming "Celebration" tour.

An insider told the outlet that doctors believe the fever was a sign of the infection and it got worst because she never sought any medical help.

Prior to this report, Page Six spoke with a source who revealed that the musician had been rehearsing for almost 12 hours every day at the Nassau Coliseum for weeks.

What Happened to Madonna?

Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, took to his official Instagram account to share details about what happened to the "Material Girl" songstress.

He confirmed that the pop musician had a "serious bacterial infection" which led to her hospitalization and a stay in the ICU.

The manager assured fans that the singer's health condition had been improving and a full recovery is expected. However, all commitments, including her upcoming tour, had been postponed.
