One of Lizzo's former backup dancers seemingly hinted at the singer's alleged problematic behavior months before the sexual harassment lawsuit filing.

In a new bombshell civil lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, three of Lizzo's former dancers accused her of sexual harassment and her production company of having a toxic work environment for them.

The Associated Press and more news outlets obtained the details of the case, and a newly emerged post by one of the dancers seemingly hinted at their situation months before suing the singer.

Lizzo's Backup Dancer Shared Cryptic Post

Lizzo's former backup dancers, Noelle Rodriguez, Arianna Davis, and Crystal Williams, revealed in the lawsuit that the 35-year-old Grammy winner of weight-shaming them. They were also reportedly forced to touch a nude performer at an Amsterdam strip club.

Rodriguez, who met the rapper in her "Rumors" music video with Cardi B, shared a cryptic Instagram post on May 5 in which she seemingly hinted at the toxicity in her career. She also referenced Lizzo's "About Damn Time" song, sparking speculations that she already spoke out about the singer's issues at that time.

In the post (via Daily Mail), the dancer included a quote from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez about becoming an example of "dedication, courage, and persistence" and not tolerating nonsense.


"It brings me peace to be at a point in my career where I can say NO to disrespect," she wrote under the quote. "I stand strong in walking away from spaces that don't serve me, and more importantly, don't deserve me."

Rodriguez also noted how her talent, character, and reputation "speaks [sic] volumes on its own," thus, she delivered a message to everyone not to feel afraid of using their voice and standing up against any wrongdoings.

She ended her post by expressing how excited she was for what would come soon, adding Lizzo's song as a hashtag in the end.

What the Lawsuit Said About Lizzo

The three former dancers said the "Truth Hurts" singer degraded one of them for weight gain before berating and firing them.

The lawsuit names Lizzo, her production company, and Quigley as defendants, per NBC News. Aside from the hostile work environment and sexual harassment, the filing also exposed more issues, including false imprisonment, religious and racial harassment, and more.

"The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing," the dancers' lawyer, Ron Zambrano, stated.
