The MTV Video Music Awards just released the nominees of the highly coveted and anticipated artist of the year award, and it will most certainly be a difficult decision to pick one over the other.

This year's rost of artist of the year nominees are all women: Beyonce, Doja Cat, Karol G, Nicki Minaj, Shakira, and Taylor Swift.

Fans are weighing in on who is most likely to win, as well as all the artists that they felt should have been nominated, like SZA and Miley Cyrus, who both have released chart-topping albums "SOS" and "Endless Summer Vacation," respectively.

Who Will Win Artist of the Year at MTV VMAs 2023?

According to reports, the "Love Story" singer has a pretty good chance of snagging the award, after all, she has enjoyed a very successful year so far, and she is not going anywhere any time soon.

She also happens to be the top nominee for the 2023 MTV VMAs, with eight nods: artist of the year, best direction, song of the year, video of the year, best pop, best cinematography, best visual effects, and best editing for "Anti-Hero."

Beyonce, on the other hand, is almost a shoo-in for artist of the year, after all, she was just named the top female artist with the highest grossing tour in history. She has also won several Grammy Awards earlier this year for her "Renaissance" album.

Other stars included in the list of nominees, like Shakira and Karol G, has enjoyed much success after releasing chart-topping hit after chart-topping hit. They are the biggest female stars in Latin music right now, and more and more American fans are getting into them by the day.

Nicki Minaj's Fiercely Loyal Fans V. Doja Cat's Almost-Nonexistent Fanbase

Minaj has seen a fruitful and successful year so far. With the release of "Barbie World," a song off the soundtrack of the "Barbie" movie, Minaj is raking in the dough and the statistics and numbers do not need to say anymore.

Doja Cat has encountered some push back from fans recently, and she has been rebranding.

Not many of her fans are into it, and in fact, they are disappointed with the singer. Her chances of bagging artist of the year at the MTV VMAs are low, but maybe the tides will turn in time when the voting closes.
