With less than a year until the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show, chatter on who will be performing on it emerges on social media.

Among the first people thrown in the mix was Taylor Swift, who seemed to have finally given her thoughts about it. Her good friend Ed Sheeran, however, seemed to have been introduced to the idea of performing on the annually anticipated music and sports synergy - but he has a condition in place.

Will Ed Sheeran Perform At The Super Bowl?

Well, according to Ed Sheeran, he won't be.

In an interview with Andy Cohen on "Andy Cohen's Deep & Shallow" Podcast on SiriusXM, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer confessed his thoughts about the whole show.

Asked if he would be interested in taking the monumental task, here's what he had to say:

"I think that would be the only way that I would do it, is if I was joining someone else."

He also explained that performing at the NFL seemed to be an "American thing," and his "stripped-down" style of performing might not be apt for the big stage.

"I don't have pizzazz," he said. "Like, all of these amazing performers - I'm just not that. I'm not gonna have dancers on stage. I'm not gonna have fireworks and blah blah."

Among the people who performed at the Super Bowl were all performers in a sense that they know how to put up a grand scale of show with theatrics. Michael Jackson, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Rihanna, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, and even The Weeknd, have all performed.

"I just can't, that's not me," he doubled down. "I don't think that anyone wants to see me do the Super Bowl either."

Well, Sheeran on the Super Bowl is not actually a far-fetched idea as he had already been offered to do so. In 2016, he revealed that he had been in talks as a guest with Beyonce, Coldplay and Bruno Mars, but then it did not materialize.

Taylor Swift Declines Super Bowl Halftime Show 2024

According to Hits Daily Double, Taylor Swift seemed to have passed on performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show 2024 again, after being repeatedly asked yearly.

In 2022, a TMZ source revealed that Swift would only perform at the Super Bowl once all of her stolen albums have been re-recoded. At this rate with 3 albums already re-recorded and one on the way, she could probably host the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime show.
