A new month, a new Justin Bieber legal issue. New reports indicate that the "Confident" pop star was arrested over the weekend in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.

According to CTV News, Bieber was arrested on Friday (Aug. 29) after colliding into a paparazzo driven mini-van and getting into a physical altercation with the driver/photographer.

"Investigation revealed that after colliding, the driver of the ATV and an occupant of the minivan engaged in a physical altercation," an Ontario Provincial Police officer said in a statement to CTV.

Bieber was arrested following the confrontation and vehicle crash. The 20-year-old was charged with dangerous driving and assault. He was then released from police custody on a "promise to appear" in court. He's due to appear before the judge on Monday, Sept. 29.

He was photographed riding the ATV with his on again/off again girlfriend Selena Gomez and both pop stars were reportedly cooperative with the Canadian authorities.

The Canadian arrest is just another legal woe in an ever-growing rap sheet for Bieber.

In July, Bieber pleaded guilty to vandalism charges relating to egging his neighbor's mansion in Calabasas, California, neighborhood. The guilty plea led to an $80,900 fee for Bieber, two years of probation, a restraining order, 12 weeks of anger management and community service.

Bieber also settled in his Miami DUI case. For that plea, Bieber also got sentenced to anger management in addition to an intensive DUI course and a $50,000 fine to go toward charity.

Bieber has also been involved in a few cell phone altercations with fans, most notably at a Dave & Buster's last month.
