Madonna is marking her 40th Anniversary in the music industry with her upcoming "Celebration" Tour, and she wants a special guest to accompany her in one of her shows.

Apparently, the Queen of Pop wanted the Princess of Pop Britney Spears to accompany her in a special performance of "Me Against The Music."

Madonna, Britney Spears Comeback On 'Celebration' Tour?

According to Page Six sources, Madonna insiders exclusively told the outlet that she wanted Britney Spears to be part of her upcoming "Celebration" Tour.

"Madonna originally wanted Britney to join her on tour this year," the source explained. "Everything was pushed back because of her illness, but she still wants Britney to join her at the Kia Forum."

Apparently, Madonna wanted to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their iconic collaboration - "Me Against The Music," which swept the world by storm in October 2003.

Based on the rescheduled calendar of Madonna's "Celebration" Tour, her Kia Forum performances would be on March 2024, which is a four-day residency on the said venue in Inglewood, California.

Surprisingly, the song only peaked at No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 at the time and hasn't been even certified platinum in the United States yet. Despite this, the song holds a huge cultural impact and is considered one of the most iconic collaborations in music.

Madonna Rescheduled 'Celebration' Tour

Very recently, Madonna announced the rescheduled dates for her North American leg of the "Celebration" Tour.

Notably, the dates were pushed back after she suffered from a serious bacterial infection that got her rushed to the hospital and became unconscious for several days in the intensive care unit.

She is expected to kick off her "Celebration" Tour in London at the O2 Arena on Oct. 14, 2023, for a four-day run in the venue.

Madonna's move to recruit Britney Spears on her "Celebration" tour came days after the "Toxic" singer reportedly broke off her marriage with estranged Sam Asghari after a year of marriage. (via Page Six)

Asghari and Spears are currently in the middle of divorce proceedings while drama between the two continues to unfold on social media. Asghari claimed that he was physically abused by Spears while the latter seemed to be unfazed by all the accusations thrown at her.
