Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are heading toward divorce. Days after the news of their eventual split has emerged on social media, the couple has finally broken their silence.
The couple shares two children - aged 3 and 1 - whose details and identity have been hidden from the public.

In an Instagram post that Sophie Turner shared on her account very recently, she addressed the news of her split and divorce from Joe Jonas.
"After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage," the statement said. "There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

Weeks leading to that, Turner's Instagram photo sparked confusion for many of their fans. In a photo posted on Aug. 15, 2023, Turner kissed Joe's hands as they left the Yankee Stadium at the start of The Jonas Brothers' "Five Albums. One Night" Tour in New York.
Now, various narratives as to what happened between the couple have been revealed by insiders and sources.
Apparently, Sophie Turner felt trapped in her relationship.
"She feels like her life has stalled after Game of Thrones and so has her personal life. Since the kids came along, she's feeling trapped. She's the only person in her tight friendship group who is married with two children," a source told The Daily Mail.
However, the divorce did not come as a surprise to some, with an insider dishing out to People Magazine that: "They were not separated but they've been living separate lives for months."
Earlier this week, Joe Jonas had already filed the paperwork for their divorce. In his filing, he's seeking to establish a "parenting plan between him and Sophie that allows for frequent and continuing contact with both parties."

Little is known about Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's children.
The couple welcomed their eldest child, Willa, on July 22, 2020.
"The couple is already obsessed and can't stop gloating about their new addition," a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the time. "The couple is taking time to enjoy this special moment and have only shared the news and updates with family and friends."
It's been almost two years after Turner gave birth to their second daughter, whose name hasn't been revealed up to this day.
