Joe Jonas is opening up about how his co-parenting relationship with ex-wife Sophie Turner has become a steady and important part of his life after their divorce.

Speaking on the Tuesday, June 2 episode of the Jonas Brothers' podcast "Hey Jonas," the 36-year-old singer shared how fatherhood has reshaped his daily routine and mindset as he raises his two daughters with Turner.

"I'm a single dad and I co-parent with my children's mother," Jonas said during the conversation, Billboard reported. He went on to describe how his children give him purpose, explaining that they influence both his work and personal life.

"I think my children have given me purpose again in my life," he said. "The reason I do what I do now, meaning go to work ... knowing that I get to work hard if I'm not with them and go back to my shared time I get to be with them, it makes it so much better."

Jonas also spoke about the emotional comfort his daughters bring him during difficult moments. He said even on his hardest days, a simple hug from them helps him feel grounded and hopeful.

"I'm able to be reminded quickly that a hug from them can solve the world's problems in my own world," he shared.

Beyond his bond with his children, Jonas gave credit to Turner and others in his support system for helping him navigate co-parenting. According to US Magazine, he said having a respectful and steady co-parenting relationship has made a big difference in his healing process.

"I'm grateful I have a co-parent I can balance even the bad days [with]," he said, adding that strong support around him has helped him stay focused and steady.

Jonas and Turner share two daughters, Willa and Delphine, following their divorce, which was finalized in 2024. The former couple first announced their separation in 2023, saying it was a mutual decision and asking for privacy for their family.

While their split briefly turned tense during custody discussions, they later reached an agreement and now share custody of their children between homes in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Turner previously described Jonas as a "great father," while Jonas has also praised her role in their children's lives.
