Is Bad Company over for good?

Paul Rodgers and his band marked their last performance at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., on October 18, 2019, during which they served as the opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd for the rockers' The Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour. While they hinted at a potential project, fans never heard from them again.

Is Bad Company Disbanding?

In his new interview with Sirius XM's Eddie Trunk, Rodgers set the record straight after he was asked if the band had reached its end. Bad Company currently has Simon Kirke. Howard Leese and Todd Ronning are in the lineup alongside the vocalist.

"I don't think so," he said. "I think there's still a lot of life there. We'll see. Give it time."

Despite that, he clarified that they have no plans about what the band will offer next.

Bad Company suffered a massive loss when its former lead singer, Brian Howe, died on May 6, 2020. His manager Paul Easton, said that the musician was on his way to a hospital when he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Howe already had a heart attack in 2017, aside from another heart disease that he was diagnosed with.

Paul Rodgers' Illnesses

Rodgers recently opened up about his own health battle after dropping his new album.

He told "CBS Mornings" on September 27 that he had two major strokes and 11 other minor strokes between 2016 and 2019. Per the musician, the experience almost derailed his career.

"I couldn't do anything, to be honest," he explained. "I couldn't speak. That was a very strange thing. You know, I'd prepare something in my mind and I'd say it, but that isn't what came out and I'd go, 'What the heck did I just say?'"

Rodgers tried to resolve the condition by undergoing a carotid endarterectomy following his second and last stroke to remove the plaque build-up from his arteries. His doctors already warned him of the potential risks at that time, including the possibility of affecting his voice due to the location of the procedure site.

His doctors also warned him that he might not come out of the operation room alive - but he survived the health issue and successfully recuperated.
