Olivia Wilde has finally addressed the Instagram Story that she shared about Taylor Swift which brought a lot of backlash and criticisms a few weeks ago.
"I meant no harm," the actress slash director said to the paparazzi that caught up with her in Studio City, California over the weekend.
"It's obviously a comment on how much attention gets paid to stupid things," she then added before leaving.
This is the first time the "Don't Worry Darling" star has addressed the backlash that ensued after her post earlier this month, wherein she shared a screenshot of a post from X (formerly known as Twitter): "I wish Taylor Swift was in love with a climate scientist."

The "Anti-Hero" singer faced backlash, too, when netizens questioned her "excessive" use of her private jet.
According to reports, she owns two jets, a Dassault Falcon 7X and a Dassault Falcon 900.
Additionally, Swift has flown about 166 hours, or 103 flights, during the first leg of her highly successful "The Eras" tour earlier this year.
"Before the tour kicked off in March of 2023, Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel," a spokesperson for the singer reportedly said.
Swift has been criticized for using her jets too frequently, contributing to global warming, however, some of her fans insist that the jets are a necessity for the singer, who is constantly mobbed everywhere she goes, noting that traveling via a commercial plane will just cause more trouble.

Some fans even poked fun at Wilde for being too critical of Swift, noting that the director and singer had both dated the same man before: Harry Styles.
"Olivia never been the same since Harry dropped her," one wrote.
"You caused no harm, but your comment says otherwise."
"No one asked again, get a job and leave Taylor alone."
Styles and Swift dated briefly many years back, however, Wilde's relationship with the One Direction alum was a lot more recent.
According to reports, the pair met and formed a relationship while they were filming "Don't Worry Darling."
By January 2021, Wilde and Styles were spotted holding hands at a wedding, which ensued rumors, and a month later, it was confirmed. They broke up in November 2022.
