Diane Warren is one of the most successful songwriters in the field of music and she was able to earn her 33rd Hot 100 Top 10 song with the help of Taylor Swift; how did this happen?

According to Billboard, the legendary musician is credited as one of the songwriters for the mega pop star's new song "Say Don't Go (Taylor's Version) [From the Vault]" and it managed to reach number 5 on the charts.

Thanks to the pop superstar, this made her boast over 40 years in Billboard's Hot 100 top 10. (May 1983 to November 2023)

Warren first appeared in the top 10 in 1983 as she was a co-writer in the song "Solitaire" by Laura Branigan.

One of her most successful songs was "Blame It on the Rain" by Milli Vanilli as it topped the charts for two weeks dated December 9, 1989, just days before Swift was born.

Prior to her success this year, her last single that made it to the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 was "There You'll Be" by Faith Hill in 2001.

Diane Warren's Contribution to Taylor Swift's New Album

In early reports, Diane Warren and Taylor Swift first collaborated on the song "Say Don't Go" nearly a decade ago.

Unfortunately, the song was not able to make it to the original tracklist of "1989" that's why she was surprised that it's finally getting released in the re-recorded version.

"Everything has its time, you know? It took a while to see the light of day, but I'm glad it finally did... It was worth the wait," she told Rolling Stone.

Most of the time, Warren writes songs alone, but for the track, she and Taylor Swift sat down together and worked on it from the beginning.
