Cher reflected on her romance with Alexander "AE" Edwards amid the mixed views of the public regarding their relationship.
The couple reconnected in September after their initial break four months prior. While they are happy together again, Cher's family is said to be not fully supportive of her choices.
Cher Opens Up About Romance With Alexander "AE" Edwards
Cher had a sit-down interview in the new episode of "Chicken Shop Date," Cher admitted she did not fall in love quickly with Edwards and noted that she told her friends not to fall in love with a younger man because they are too old.
However, she soon fell for him.
"I left to go to Switzerland and he texted me, 'Where are you going?' I said "I'm going to Switzerland. I'm a little tired,' and then he wrote me, 'Well, get some rest, babyyy,' with three Ys," she shared. "And I'm like, 'He doesn't know me well enough to put three Ys on baby.' I was kind of pissed off. And then he just started texting me."
Cher and Edwards met at a Paris Fashion Week event in 2022.
However, reports said Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman see Edwards as a gold-digger who only uses their mother for connection. They also reportedly fear that Cher would get hurt in the end.
Despite those comments, Cher reportedly stood firm and defended her beau against the haters.

Cher Revealed Some Problems About Dating Younger Man
In a separate interview with Extra, the 77-year-old singer shared the cons of dating someone who is decades younger than her.
"Sometimes I'm talking to him and he has no idea who I'm talking about..." she shared. "The other day, I said: 'Do you know who, I don't know, Clark Gable, [is]?' Somebody said: 'Yes, of course,' but most of my references... He'll look at me and go: 'I wasn't born yet.'"
Cher assured everyone she is happy and having a great time with Edwards amid their on-again, off-again relationship.
She also joked about their relationship making headlines, telling People that Edwards' looks should be credited for that.
"Alexander's got diamond teeth, tattoos, white hair, and he's way younger. He's a beautiful man," she went on. "Also, I think it's fun to be interested in somebody else's love life!"
