Goldenvoice Festival organizers have announced the lineup for the Cruel World Festival!
Interpol, Simple Mind, and Duran Duran will be headlining the Cruel World Festival in 2024!
Cruel World Festival 2024 Headliners
According to a Variety report, 1980s new-wave acts will be top-billing at the annual alternative rock music festival.
Aside from Interpol, Simple Mind, and Duran Duran, the Cruel World Festival headliners are also composed of Blondie, Placebo, Adam Ant, and Soft Cell. Heaven 18, The Stranglers and Toes on Nail, and Jesus and Mary Chain will also be performing for goth lovers.
Ministry will also be performing their hits "Twitch" and "With Sympathy," while Gary Numan will be playing "The Pleasure Principle."

Cruel World Festival 2024 Lineup Disappoints Fans
As the organizers announced the Cruel World Festival 2024 lineup, fans took to social media to express their disappointment with the artists who will be performing.

"Why the repeats? Soft cell just played, blondie sucked last year, Gary numan played twice last year. How about Oingo Boingo, Talking heads, Dead can Dance?" a fan asked.
"Good lineup, but Interpol is so so so very bad live. The masses have spoken on that one, I wish they tried one single bit," another protested.
"Never got my refund for 2023. Will not be flying in for a third year," someone said.
"Sorry, hard pass for me and my sister. After last year's disaster after disaster, (horrible audience layout at the main stage, sound issues, a sudden fake lightening cancellation, then getting stranded in the parking lot with THOUSANDS of other people waiting for Lyft's/uber's, and then the ultimate... missing Siouxsie perform, the whole reason I spent thousands and flew out there in the first place, because they rescheduled her for the next day when I was already on a plane," another complained.
Some fans even protested in the comments, saying that the festival should offer more alternative food choices because all they had offered the year before were vegan and vegetarian food.
In 2022, the first day of the festival was cut abruptly due to inclement weather conditions, which caused a huge uproar from fans. Some alleged that their refunds hadn't been claimed a year later.
The Cruel World Festival 2024 will be held on May 11, 2024, at the Pasadena Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, California.
