Cher's family has yet to accept Alexander "AE" Edwards amid the pair's blooming romance.

After a brief split, Cher and Edwards reconciled and started dating again. While the pair have appeared in public again, not everyone is happy about their reunion.

Cher's Family Doesn't Like Alexander "AE" Edwards

Insiders spoke with InTouch Weekly (via OK! Magazine) regarding the pair's romance. The 77-year-old's family reportedly fears that the music executive is not the right person for her as he might only have "wrong reasons" to be with her.

"She's madly in love with A.E.," a source said. "They've had their ups and downs - they even briefly broke up once. But now they're back together and stronger than ever."

Her loved ones and close friends are reportedly concerned about what would happen once they get married, especially her $360 million net worth. Her family would reportedly want to place an ironclad prenup, but the problem could surface if Cher would not want to have one in place.

The warning came after Cher reflected on their romance despite her family's non-approval of their relationship.

She said in an episode of "Chicken Shop Date" that she did not fall in love quickly with Edwards and noted that she told her friends not to fall in love with a younger man because they are too old.

However, she soon fell in love with him.

"I left to go to Switzerland and he texted me, 'Where are you going?' I said, "I'm going to Switzerland. I'm a little tired,' and then he wrote me, 'Well, get some rest, babyyy,' with three Ys," she shared. "And I'm like, 'He doesn't know me well enough to put three Ys on baby.' I was kind of pissed off. And then he just started texting me."

Despite their harmonious relationship, she disclosed to "Extra" that their relationship has some cons, including Edwards not having an idea who and what she is talking about at times.

Cher and Edwards started dating after they met at Paris Fashion Week.

After the confirmation, their relationship received mixed reactions due to their age gap - including the singer's children. Sources previously claimed that the "If I Could Turn Back Time" crooner's sons were removed from her will because of their disapproval.
