Foster Hudson, the guitarist of the Brooklyn-based band Geese, will be leaving the group as they announced his departure in a social media post; what was the reason why he decided to leave?

The band took to their official Instagram account to explain the reason why Hudson had been absent from the group over the past few months, and they're finally ready to reveal the reason why.

It appears that the musician had already left the group for a long time now as they wrote: "Earlier this year, Foster decided to take a leave from the band to pursue his academic endeavors."

Geese added that the band will continue as a 4-piece group, at the same time, Hudson will continue his studies.

"We wholeheartedly support Foster's decision to continue his studies and we hope that you will too. Thank you and much love," they added.

As of this writing, Foster Hudson has yet to share his own announcement regarding this matter.

Geese New EP + Their Unique Approach in Music

According to NME, the latest news comes after the band released a brand new EP back in October titled "4D Country," which is the continuation of their album "3D Country" which they dropped in June.

In an interview with the outlet upon the release of the album, they gave a context about their different approach when it comes to creating music for their fans.

"We're always going to shift focus, no matter our situation... We just get bored of the old s***," member Gus Green said.

On the other hand, drummer Max Bassin noted, "A lot of what we do is trying not to repeat ourselves musically. The themes for 'Projector' are very different from '3D Country', and the next record will also change. It is a matter of us sitting with something for so long that there's been ample time to feel every kind of way about it, so that by the time the album comes out and we're playing it live, it's a different beast."

Geese Upcoming Tours

In other updates, Geese has a couple of shows based on their schedule posted on their official website. The Brooklyn Vegan reported that the band will be a supporting act for King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard's tour.
